Christopher Malenab, Reno 1868 Video Analyst

From 2009 to 2011, Christopher served as assistant coach to the Women's Soccer team at CSU Stanislaus. In 2004 he was an assistant coach at Cosumnes River College while also serving in the same capacity for the Sacramento Knights of the National Premier Soccer League, assistant coach at San-Joaquin Delta College (2012-2014). Christopher was the Video Analyst / Camps & Clinics Coordinator for the Sacramento Republic FC between 2014 - 2017. Christopher accepted a position with Reno 1868 FC for the 2018 season.

 

From 2002-2004 he served as head varsity coach at El Camino, and at Rosemont High School from 2004-2009. He helped lead the El Camino boys team to a CAL Championship and led Rosemont to 3 consecutive conference championships in the Metro Conference.

 

He has also worked with players throughout the United States at the ODP and club levels, including taking players overseas with the United Soccer Academy out of Florida. He worked with players in Brazil, Denmark, Holland, Germany, Sweden, England, Scotland, and Italy.

 

At the youth level Chris worked with various clubs in the greater Sacramento area including, River City, CVU, Cal Rush Soccer Club, and EDUSA. Besides being a coach, he has also held various positions within these organizations including Director of Goalkeeper Development, Jr. Programs Director and Director of Coaching.

 

Chris holds a USSF “B” License and an NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.
