Sergio Perez is an SMWW Agent Advisor and Attorney and who began his career in athlete representation while in law school as a summer intern at Hightower Law Firm in Pensacola, Florida with Bret Kanis, SMWW Director of Basketball Operations and NBPA Certified Agent, where he assisted with the general recruitment, representation and marketing of professional basketball players in Europe and the NBA. In addition to being an SMWW Agent Advisor and Attorney, Sergio is a highly skilled and adept business professional with over 12 years of accounting experience in the corporate, private, and non-profit sectors. As an SMWW Agent Advisor, Sergio is well-connected and has a great understanding of recruiting, draft preparation, contract negotiations, contract disputes, collective bargaining agreements and salary caps. A native of Lowell, Massachusetts, Sergio Perez graduated with a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Boston. His astute business and legal acumens combined with coming from humble beginnings has provided Sergio with a blue-collar work ethic and a reputation of being a straight shooter with high moral and ethical standards. He also works closely with NFL agent Dr. Lynn Lashbrook assisting him recruit NFL prospects.
