Biography
As an SMWW Agent Advisor, Marc Russo has successfully been mentored by Dr. Lynn Lashbrook, Joel Corry and Greg Glynn, meeting all the requirements of becoming an SMWW Agent Advisor. This includes agent regulations and player association legalities, contract negotiation, endorsements, including understanding a particular athlete's Name, Image and Likeness valuation, sponsorships, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, draft preparation, marketing and recruiting. Although Marc is a new Agent Advisor, he is well adept at preparing you for your sports career and has the ambition and passion to attain the knowledge, skills, and experience needed for a successful professional athlete. He will use the business knowledge, experience and decision-making skills he has acquired while successfully operating his court reporting business. He will do everything possible to represent your interests and help you achieve your goals as not only a sports professional, but also your life after sports as well. Marc takes a 360-degree approach to his clients’ wealth, personal life, career, and post-career challenges with the goal to simplify and enhance your life while focusing on playing the sport you love. He will serve as your primary contact for everything from financial advisory assistance to addressing your lifestyle needs as he works closely with the SMWW Team off the field, so you can focus on your career on the field. He takes his role as a fiduciary for the athlete very seriously. Throughout his business career, Marc has developed a reputation of working with his clients with honesty, integrity and gives special attention to his customers' needs by going the extra mile. Marc is a native of New York, NY, living with his family in the Tribeca neighborhood for many years. Marc has an Associates in Applied Science Degree from NYC Technical College in Downtown Brooklyn, as well as AAS Degree in Court Reporting. Marc is an avid sports fan and has been coaching his daughter's softball team for the last six years in Downtown Little League - one of the largest little leagues in the USA enrollment-wise.
