Rudy Fleming, whose 957 yards receiving helped the Lions reach the NAIA Championship game this season, is a relative hidden gem. Blessed with body control, quickness and fine agility, the 197 lb wide out is proud of the program's ascension. Individually, he simply wants an opportunity to prove that he has what it takes for the next level. He has broken nearly every receiving record at Lindenwood compiling amazing stats in just two seasons. He has become the All-Time receiving leader in 27 career games Rudy has recorded 124 receptions 2036 Yds receiving and scored 21 TD. Had at least 2 receptions in all 27 games played at Lindenwood.
Senior 2009: 57 receptions 957 yds 9 TDS.... Rudy finished his SR year leading his team in receptions and yards on their way to the National Championship game. He was named 1st team All HAAC for the 2nd straight season also was named College Fanz All American for the 2nd year in a row. He averaged over 17.2 yards per reception while also being the #1 blocking WR 9/19/09 vs. Missouri Valley College 4 receptions 78 yds.....9/26/09 vs. Mid America Nazarene 8 receptions 91 yds 1TD......11/07/09 vs. Graceland 4 receptions 110 yds 1TD..... 11/21/09 vs. Langston 5 receptions 114 yds.... 12/05/09 vs. Carroll 7 receptions 70 yds here is a quote from Patrick Ross Head Coach of Lindenwood.
Ross said that there was so much more to Fleming than just these numbers, though. Rudy was our best blocker on the edge this season," Ross said. "We ran a lot of wide receiver screens and Rudy didn't get to catch many of those. Since he was our best blocker, he was out there blocking for everybody.
Junior 2008: In his first year as a Lion, set every major school single season receiving record ... an honorable mention All-American by the College Fanz Sports Network ... first-team all-HAAC ... caught 67 passes for 1,056 yards and 11 touchdowns ... also rushed 18 times for 66 yards and a touchdown ... completed three-of-three passes for 25 yards and one touchdown ... team's top punt returner, returning 21 kicks for a 10.6 yard average ... led Lindenwood with 103.3 all-purpose yards.....caught at least one touchdown pass in nine games, including two games with a pair of touchdown receptions ... had four 100-yard receiving games, including two in the playoffs ... averaged 111.0 receiving yards and one touchdown a game in the postseason ...
Juco: Was named to the NJCAA All-American team and was a J.C. Grid-Wire honorable mention at Mesa College. Returned punts for 97, 73 and 67 yards for TDS Averaged 29.2 on punt returns and 30.1 on kickoffs.
High School: Attending Mcclintock High in Mesa AZ. Where he holds the record for most TD receptions in a game 3....2nd most TD in a season 12 JR and again 12 SR YEAR.....Most TDS Career 24....He ranks 1st and 2nd in receptions in a game with 11 & 10....... Career leader in receptions with 134..... 1st All-Time in receiving yards in a game 262..... 1st All-Time in reception yards season and career with 1362 yds and 2280 yds
