2015:  Edward show cased his talents at the NFL Regional Combine at Denver Colorado 02/21/2015.

 

2015:  Edward is currently receiving personal fitness and athletics training a Hammer Bodies Custom Fitness in St. Louis, MO county.


2015:  Edward again show cased his talents on 03/07/2015 at the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL Free Agent Camp at South Alabama U.  He lit it up at the Edmonton CFL Free Agent Camp.


2015:  Edward Smith, also recorded the fastest 40 yard dash 4.35 secs at the Instant Scouting event in Montréal Canada. He also leaped 10' 5" in the standing broad jump and lit up the one on one drills.

2015:  Ed is currently sharpening his Corner Back skills as he has displayed the talent and skill to convert easily to the corner back position!  He compete at the FXFL Camp at the corner back position!


2014- Ed Smith, a senior at Fort Hayes state University earned an Honorable Mention All MIAA selection at running back 2014.

He rushed for 1,970 yards and racked up 2,514 all-purpose yards at FHSU.

In 2014, he finished with a team-best averaging 5.1 yards per carry with seven total touchdowns (six rushing, one receiving)

An accomplished RB despite having an inexperienced offensive line and new GA's designated OL Coach, and Running Back Coach!

Edward is a tough, durable ball carrier, with smooth agility and acceleration.  Runs with excellent authority between tackles!

Edward finished his career with two consecutive 100-yard rushing games, producing a season-best 144 rushing yards in the season finale helping the Tigers reach seven wins for the first time since 1996.

 

2013 (Redshirt-Junior): Played in all 11 games at running back...Ranked third on the team in rushing yards with 411 on 74 carries...Averaged a team-best 5.6 yards per carry for players with at least 20 carries...Led FHSU in rushing touchdowns with eight, scoring a season-best two touchdowns in three games...Rushed for a season-high 92 yards on eight carries against Nebraska-Kearney...Carried the ball a season-high 12 times against Southwest Baptist...Ranked third on the team in receptions with 22...Had a season-high five receptions against Northwest Missouri State...His lone receiving touchdown of the season was at Missouri Western...Produced 106 receiving yards and averaged 4.8 yards per catch...Ranked fourth on the team in all-purpose yards with 517...Earned third FHSU letter.

2012 (Junior): Received a medical redshirt after getting injured in the second game of the season against Washburn...Carried the ball 17 times in the season opener at Emporia State for 46 yards, then was injured on his first carry of the game against Washburn the following week...Started the game against Washburn...Had a total of 43 yards on 18 carries for the season.

2011 (Sophomore): Played in all 11 games...Second-leading rusher on the team with 748 yards on 136 attempts...Led the team in yards per carry (5.5)...Led the team in rushing touchdowns with six...Posted his first 100-yard rushing game at FHSU with 163 yards on 14 attempts at Central Oklahoma, a game in which he had his longest run of the year, a 74-yard touchdown run, and a season-high two touchdowns...Rushed for 80 or more yards in four games...Ranked seventh in the MIAA in rushing yards per game (68.0)...Carried the ball a season-high 24 times against Emporia State...Had 12 receptions for 109 yards, averaging 9.1 yards per catch...Had his only receiving touchdown of the year against Central Missouri...Caught a season-high three passes against Northwest Missouri State and Washburn...Had a season-high 35 receiving yards at Northwest Missouri State, where he also recorded his longest reception of the season (28 yds)...His seven touchdowns overall led FHSU...Earned second FHSU letter.

2010 (Freshman): Appeared in nine games at running back in a reserve role...Rushed for 101 yards on 15 attempts with two touchdowns, averaging 6.7 yards per carry...Caught two passes for a total of 10 yards...Rushed for a season-high 55 yards on four carries against Truman...Had a season high nine carries and both of his touchdowns against Western State...Longest run from scrimmage was 39 yards against Truman...As a kick returner, accumulated 251 yards on 16 returns...Produced a season-high 79 kick return yards on five attempts against Washburn...Longest kick return was 27 yards at Nebraska-Omaha...Earned first FHSU letter.

Southwest Miami HS: Second-leading rusher in Miami-Dade County as a senior...Ran for over 1,600 yards with 21 touchdowns in 2009...Leading rusher in the Miami-Dade County All-Star Game.
