2013: David Knighton continues to hone his skills for the next level under the tutelage of former Chicago Bear QB Erik Kramer.

2012: Knighton started twelve games in the IFL, nine games for the Colorado Ice and three games for the Allen Wranglers.  In nine games for the Ice he threw for 1,334 yards, completing 60% of his passes while throwing 30 touchdowns with a 6:1 touchdown to interception ratio. 2011:  In addition to owning 29 NCAA school records David was the winner of the IFL’s Most Improved Player Award.  The League’s acknowledgement was a derivative of David’s work that included 2,188 passing yards and 43 touchdowns.  David had the second fewest interceptions of any QB in the league, with at least 40 touchdown passes.

2010:  In his rookie year David started eight games for the IFL’s Colorado Ice.  In those eight games he threw 26 touchdown passes and he completed the 2010 season with a 60% pass completion rate while throwing for 940 yards.  His touchdown to interception ratio was 4:1

2007-08:  Named First Team All-American Little AP and Player of the Year - Great American Conference (GAC).  Exceptional performances are more of the norm than the exception for David as his career best performance vs. Arkansas Tech narrowly over-shadowed his performance on November 11th, 2007 against Delta State completing 42 passes in 66 attempts for 523 yards and yet another seven [ yes 7] passing touchdowns. He ended the year with a school record single-season pass completion percentage of 65.4 and passing for 32 touchdowns, averaging 393.8 yards per game in total offense.

High School:  At Seminole High School located in Seminole Oklahoma, David was a three-year starter leading his team to three consecutive state championship appearances.  David was 32 and 5 as a starter and also won honors for Oklahoma Class 3A All-District as a sophomore, junior and senior.  He was named Oklahoma’s Class 3A All-Star, placing him as the State’s top Class 3A Quarterback.  David excelled at two sports in high school; he was a three year starter on the Seminole High School Basketball Team.  He led his team in scoring, averaging 18 points per game and won Class 3A All-District honors his junior and senior year. David finished his Oklahoma High School career as one of the State’s all-time leading Quarterbacks and in the shadow of Paul Smith [Jacksonville Jaguars 2008-2009].  In 2013 David Knighton was inducted into the Seminole High School Hall of Fame.
