BEFORE MSU:  Spent three seasons at South Carolina...appeared in 12 games in his career...red-shirted his first season...appeared in five games in 2011...made three tackles, including two solo stops...registered seven tackles in 2010...posted career-best five tackles in the season opener against Southern Miss.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Two-way player at Andrew Jackson High School...logged over 150 tackles and six interceptions over final two seasons...participated in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star Classic...had 77 tackles and three interceptions as a junior...rated a three-star recruit and ranked as teh 21st-best safety in the nation by Rivals.com...three-star prospect by Scout.com...considered the state’s 91st-best prospect according to SuperPrep...named to PrepStar’s All-Southeast Region team
