2013: GP/GS – 11/10…Thompkins began his third season as a member of the AFL with the Utah Blaze. As a member of the Blaze, Thompkins recorded 27 receptions for 345 yards and 4 touchdowns while adding 1 rush for 9 yards in 4 games. 2012: Brandon played in 12 games for the Shock and ended the season on the Injured Reserve List due to a hamstring injury. Despite missing six games, Brandon was second on the team in receptions (76), second in receiving yards (907), and second in receiving touchdowns (26). Beyond his value in the passing game, Brandon also contributed on the ground for the Shock as he scored six rushing touchdowns on the season.

 

2011: A late-season acquisition in 2011, Thompkins made an immediate impact on Spokane’s lineup by collecting 17 receptions for 200 yards and three touchdowns in just four games.

 

PERSONAL: Brandon graduated from Palm Beach Lake HS and received honorable mention all-area honors by the Palm Beach Post as a senior. During his high school career, Brandon played wide receiver, defensive back, and even quarterback. At the end of his senior season, he was recognized as the 26th best defensive back in the southern U.S. by SuperPrep.com

Thompkins was a duel-threat as a wide receiver and a kick returner for Arkansas State as a four year starter. As a Red Wolf, Thompkins collected 128 receptions for 1,701 yards and seven touchdowns. On kick returns, Thompkins returned 124 kicks for 2,696 yards nearly 22 yards/return.

10/13/09 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: WR/KR Brandon Thompkins caught a 58-yard touchdown pass from Leonard and had four catches for 82 yards and 122 yards of kick returns, including a 65-yarder, two weeks ago and had another big game at Iowa. He has caught 12 passes, for 158 and two touchdowns, in the last two games.


 
10/01/09 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: WR/KR Brandon Thompkins caught a 58-yard touchdown pass from Leonard and had four catches for 82 yards and 122 yards of kick returns, including a 65-yarder, for 204 yards of offense in the loss to Troy. 09/28/09 - With 122 kickoff return yards against Troy, senior Brandon Thompkins now has 2,077 yards and became the first player in school history and second player in SBC history surpass the 2,000-yard mark. Thompkins, already the school record holder in KO return yards, needs 270 more yards to breaks the SBC record. 07/06/09 - ASU has a team that can make a run for the Sun Belt title because of the talent it returns. The Red Wolves return their leading rusher (Reggie Arnold), leading receiver (Brandon Thompkins) and senior quarterback Corey Leonard, who threw for more than 2,300 yards and 16 touchdowns and rushed for more than 500 yards and four touchdowns.

 2008:  Thompkins led ASU in both receptions (32 tied Jahbari McLennan for team high) and receiving yards (511) . . . His 16.0 average yards per reception was the third highest average among all SBC receivers ranked among the top-10 SBC leaders receiving yards . . . He recorded multiple receptions in nine games, including a season-high six receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown against FAU . . . Became the 12th player in school history to record 1,000 career receiving yards and is tied for the 10th most receptions in school history for a career  . . . The Sun Belt Conference???s second all-time leader in career kickoff return yards posted 296 kick return yards for a 19.7 average . . . 2007:  Thompkins broke the ASU and Sun Belt Conference records for kickoff return yards in 2007, becoming the first player in the history of the league to record over 1,000 kickoff return yards with 1,062 to his credit . . . He averaged 21.7 yards per return and posted a career-best 43 yard return against Middle Tennessee . . . He was named the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after breaking the single-game records at ASU and for the Sun Belt with 194 kickoff return yards against Tennessee . . . He ranked third in the Sun Belt and 45th in the nation for all-purpose yards with 137.8 yards per game . . . Thompkins also returned five punts for 93 yards with a long of 53 and averaged 18.6 yards per return . . . He posted career-best numbers for receptions and receiving yards with 41 catches for 503 yards and a game-winning touchdown against North Texas . . . Finished the season ranked second on the team in both receptions and receiving yards . . . Ranked seventh in the Sun Belt in receiving yards (41.9 ypg) and eighth in receptions (3.5 rpg) . . . 2006:  Played in all 12 games as a true freshman in 2006, starting twice . . . Caught eight passes on the year, averaging just over 11 yards per catch . . . Season-long reception went for 33 yards against Louisiana-Monroe Oct. 7 . . . Rushed seven times for 47 yards . . . Notched a 16-yard rushing touchdown against Memphis Oct. 14 . . . Returned a team-high 25 kickoffs for 548 yards, averaging a team-high 21.9 yards per return . . . Recorded at least 130 kick-return yards in two games . . .
