Personal: Brown was born May 1, 1986 in Galveston, TX His full name is Arkeith Lamonte Brown Jr. In college, Brown studied agricultural leadership and development Brown was a Prep All-American and earned Class 4A All-State mention as a defensive back and return specialist at El Campo High School in Texas As a senior, he earned Second-Team All-State honors at defensive back after grabbing 7 INTs and helping his team to a 9-4 record�That season, Brown also contributed 18 catches for 368 yards and 2 TDs As a junior, he received Honorable Mention All-State honors as a return specialist Brown contributed 5 INTs, two of which he returned for touchdowns He also had 22 catches for 343 yards, while helping El Camp to an 11-3 record and the Div. II Quarterfinals Brown was a three-time all-district selection at wide receiver and defensive back Also, he was a consensus Texas Top 100 prospect He was a standout in track and field, as he posted third place finishes in the triple jump (47-3) and 4X200 relay (1:27.98) and was fourth in the high jump (6-8) at the 2005 Class 4A state track and field meet College: In 2005, he was one of nine true freshman to see action for the Aggies He was a mainstay on a variety of special teams units and saw limited action in the defensive secondary, where he made 13 tackles, including nine solo stops, in 11 games of action He also broke up a pass against SMU In 2006, he was the Aggies top pass defender off the bench with four passes broken up and 21 tackles He started two games while seeing action in every game He broke-up a season-high three passes in his starting debut against Louisiana Tech He had a season-best three tackles against The Citadel, Louisiana-Lafayette and Cal In 2007, Brown posted 51 tackles while seeing action in all 13 games He started the last six games registering 30 tackles over that span He led the team by breaking up eight passes He notched a career high 11 tackles against Kansas In 2008, Brown record 50 tackles with 35 being solo stops He had 1 INT for the Aggies with 8 pass deflections
