Biography
Leon Clarke is a seasoned player development expert and the visionary behind Clarke Sports, New Jersey’s first dedicated football academy, launched in 2002. Identifying a gap in football-specific training, Clarke introduced a new standard for athlete preparation—one that quickly attracted top high school talent from across the tri-state area. His innovative model emphasized both elite-level skill development and mentorship, establishing Clarke Sports as a trusted hub for athletes determined to elevate their game.
Throughout his career, Clarke has helped shape the journeys of numerous athletes who’ve gone on to succeed at major collegiate programs and in the NFL, including David Njoku (Cleveland Browns), Tommy DeVito (New York Giants), and Will Levis (Tennessee Titans). Known for his ability to foster not only physical performance but also mental toughness and character, Clarke has earned the confidence of college coaches, recruiters, and NFL scouts nationwide.
With a degree in Sports Management and over two decades of experience in training, mentorship, and talent marketing, Leon is now expanding his impact as an Agent Advisor with the SMWW Agency. In this role, he’s dedicated to guiding athletes and emerging talent through the complexities of the football world—whether it’s navigating recruitment, preparing for the next level, or building long-term career strategies.
