Dennis is a proud native Detroiter with a passion for sports and helping others. Upon graduating from Detroit Renaissance High School, he attended Purdue University pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. After deciding that was not the route in which he wanted to take, he returned home, started a family, and joined the Detroit Police Department (DPD). During his 21-year career, 17 of which were spent in a supervisory capacity as a Sergeant, Dennis earned several certifications through the Department: one being that as a Labor Relations Specialist by way of Michigan State University. In addition, while employed full-time with the DPD, Dennis completed his
Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics on an academic scholarship from Marygrove College and also his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan.

Upon retiring from the police department, Dennis found himself working again for the city of Detroit serving the residents of Detroit’s far eastside as Mayor Mike Duggan’s appointee as Deputy District Manager. While serving in this capacity and maintaining a very hectic schedule, Dennis never lost his passion and drive to position himself to work in the sports industry. In the Spring of 2022, he took SMWW’s NFLPA Agent’s Prep course, with Dr. Lashbrook and Joel Corry, and passed the NFLPA Agent’s Certification exam.

With his knowledge of contract negotiations as a Labor Relations Specialist coupled with the vast knowledge and experience of the SMWW team, Dennis is more than capable of meeting the needs of his clients and ensuring their success with regard to football club negotiations.
