Overview: Two-year starter at middle linebacker … one of the captains of the Tigers’ NCAA FCS runner-up team as a senior … named second team All-Colonial Athletic Association as a junior and senior … named to the 2013 Pre-Season All-CAA team … hard-hitting linebacker who was a key to the Tigers’ defensive success the last two seasons … transfer from Dean Junior College who joined the Tigers prior to the start of 2012 season … also attended University of Maryland for one year.
TOWSON UNIVERSITY 2013 SEASON:
Starter in all 16 games at middle linebacker for the Tigers as a senior … co-captain of NCAA FCS finalists … named second team All-CAA … finished second on the team with 124 tackles … intercepted two passes … also recovered a fumble and forced another fumble … made five tackles in season opener at UConn … made five tackles at Holy Cross … intercepted first pass of career at Holy Cross … also had interception and 35-yard return against Delaware State … made nine tackles in win over New Hampshire … made 11 tackles against Villanova … had nine tackles in win at William & Mary … also made nine tackles in win over James Madison… had 10 tackles in NCAA FCS win over Fordham … helped Tigers to win at Eastern Illinois with career high 14 tackles … made seven tackles in win at Eastern Washington … also had seven tackles in FCS championship game against North Dakota State.
2012 SEASON:
Played in 10 games for the Tigers at middle linebacker … starter in nine contests …named second team All-Colonial Athletic Association … earned second team All-American honors from College Sports Madness … did not start in season opener at Kent State … missed Rhode Island game with an injury … made 74 tackles in 10 games to tie for second on the team … ranked 10th in CAA in tackles with 7.4 per game average … led Tigers with 12 tackles for lost yardage … tied for team lead with five quarterback sacks … led the Tigers to a 49-35 win over Villanova with 12 tackles, including three tackles for lost yardage and two sacks … posted 12 tackles against Old Dominion … made 10 tackles in victory over Maine … tallied nine tackles with three tackles for lost yardage at James Madison … helped the Tigers to a win over Delaware with eight tackles, including a sack … had seven tackles with a sack at Louisiana State … also made 2.5 tackles for lost yardage at LSU … helped Tigers to win over William & Mary with six tackles.
AT DEAN JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Led the Bulldogs to the Northeast Football Conference championship … made 52 tackles for the Bulldogs in 2011 … finished third on team in tackles despite missing two games … named as Defensive MVP for the Bulldogs … one of eight Eagles who signed with four-year colleges.
