Davin attended Etowah High School in Attalla, AL. Going into high school he was the only freshman that seen any playing time.

He played multiple positions on the offensive side of the ball from WR to RB. Going into his sophomore year he began to show promise of a future in the sport. As a sophomore he took the starting position at safety and WR. That season he was second only to his oldest brother in every category on both offense and defense. After his sophomore season he began to receive interest and offers from every major college in the nation. Going into the fifth game of his junior season, he was leading the state in interceptions with 6 and tackles with 65.

He received about 27 scholarship offers and later on was committed to the University of Kentucky that changed and he went ahead chose to attend the University of South Alabama.

Freshman year at South Alabama he went into camp as the second string safety and worked his way up to the starter. However, he wasn’t used as he dropped strings.  Going into his junior spring the coaching staff asked and moved him to TE. That spring he earned the second string spot behind now NFL TE Wes Saxton.

The junior season he had 2 receptions for 55 yards and a TD, in one game of participation.

After that junior season the coaching staff called asked that he move to LB and he didn’t hesitate. The position was held down by two other seniors, but after an offseason and summer of hard work he took the starting spot.

In the first game he recorded 11 tackles 3 pass deflections and a sack.

Final stats were 69 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack and 6 pass deflections.

After Pro Day he received interest from the NY Jets and the Kansas City chiefs, along with a couple of Canadian teams.
