Brian Finegan 

                                                     '96-'00

~Played four years of Football and Baseball. WaB the starting wide receiver for the 1999 Valley Champion Football Team (ranked 7th in the country). Was an All­League multipurpose player (played WR, QB, Punter, Kickoff and Punt returner). Played Varsity baseball in '99- '00 and was the starting shortstop and leadoff hitter. Was named a Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete and finished 2nd in Athlete of the Year voting.

 

·Saint Mary's College, Moraga CA '00-'01

-Was recruited to play football and baseball. Ended up only playing baseball while I was there. Started 25 games my freshman year between SS and 2B.

·Cuesta Junior College, San Luis Obispo, CA                                               '01-'02

-Started all 52 games at SS for the 2002 Cougars that finished 3rd in the state of CA. Led the team in AB's (239) and Runs (72). Hit .339 with 81 hits, 16 Doubles, 14 HR's and 56 RBI from the leadoff spot. Named First Team All-Southern California

·University of Hawaii, Honolulu, HI                                                     '02-'04

-Started III consecutive games at SS. Hit .280 and .339 in those years respectively. Averaged 223 AB/year with 15 Doubles, 43 runs, and 69 hits per year.

·          Drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 15th round of the 2004 Amateur Draft.

·Short-Season Mahoning Valley (Cleveland)                             A-        2004

-Won the New York Penn League, started 69 games at SS. Batted .255 with 67 hits, 13 doubles, 3 HR, 41 runs, and 34 RBI.

·Low A, Lake County Captains (Cleveland)                             A         2005

-Started 115 games at SS. Hit .292. Led the team with 435 AB's, collected 127 hits, with 30 doubles, 9 HR, 77 runs, 60 RBI and 16SB.

·Triple A, Buffalo Bison's (Cleveland)                                     AAA 200~

-Helped Buffalo close out their season and even saw playing time during the playoffs. Hit .333 in my duration there.

·High A, Kinston Indians (Cleveland)                                       A + 2006

-Hit .266 in 47 games with 51 hits, 10 Doubles, 2 HR, 35 runs, and 23 RBI.

-Hit .253 in 69 games with 58 hits, 16 Doubles, 1 HR, 36 TUnS, and 21 RBI.

-Utility infield role, ended up hitting .207 with 17 hits, 3 doubles, 2 HR, and 8 runs.
