Curtis Perry is an Agent Advisor for SMWW. He has successfully been mentored by Dr. Lynn
Lashbrook and Joel Corry and has met all the requirements of becoming an SMWW Agent
Advisor. This course fully prepared him for recruiting, negotiating contracts, collective
bargaining agreements, draft preparation, sponsorships, marketing, endorsements, legalities,
and regulations.

Curtis Perry has a passion for assisting others so being an Agent Advisor is a great fit for him at
this point in his career. He was born and raised in Charlotte NC known to many as the Queen
City. He currently lives northwest of Charlotte in Denver, NC which is west of Lake Norman.
He has worked in the financial service industry for thirty years as Mortgage Broker, Loan
Officer, Insurance Broker, General Manager, and Auto Finance Manager. He served in the
United States Army.

He is certified as a USATF Level One Track and Field Coach. He founded and coached a youth
track program for seven years in the Charlotte area. Many of his youth athletes played at the
collegiate level and ranked at the national level while training with him. He was the Head Track
Coach on the Middle School level for five years in the Charlotte area. He won four Conference
Championships during his five years of Coaching at the Middle school level. He has assisted
student-athletes with getting into college for around fifteen years.

He was an intern assistant Coach at Johnson C. Smith for indoor and outdoor track in 2011. He
worked with 400m runners while serving as an intern assistant coach. During his intern the
Women’s team won the outdoor CIAA Championship, the Men’s 4x400m team won the DII
indoor Championship and they had an athlete from JCSU win the 400m DII indoor
Championship.

He played one year of college football at JCSU in 1981 as a wide receiver. He walked-on and
made the 1987 UTEP football team after serving in the US Army. He left the team before the
first game due to a knee injury.

He has an MS in Sport Management from California PA, California PA, and a BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Mathematics from Belmont Abbey College, Belmont NC.
