Corey joins SMWW as an agent advisor after being mentored by Dr. Lynn Lashbrook and Joel Corry and meeting all of the requirements of becoming an SMWW Agent Advisor. Corey has completed the Athlete Management and Salary Cap Analysis and CBA courses in which he studied agent regulations, player association legalities, contract negotiations, endorsements, sponsorships, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, marketing and recruiting. Corey blends his lifelong love and enthusiasm of sports with his educational background which includes a bachelor's degree in Government and International Politics with a Minor in Sports Management from George Mason University along with a MBA (Master of Business Administration) Currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Corey has recently completed his first year as a Coding/Programming and Cybersecurity teacher at Osbourn High School in Manassas, Va after working 20 years in the Information Technology sector at the Pentagon and Ft. Belvoir. Being an agent advisor will allow Corey to help guide athletes to agents he feels will best suit them in their professional playing careers and in their life after their playing days are over. Corey feels the athletes should have as strong a plan on how they address their post-playing days as they do their playing careers. |
