Biography
Colin Gray is a highly experienced hockey professional based in Lethbridge, Alberta, with a lifelong dedication to the game. Having started playing at the age of five, Colin progressed through all levels of minor hockey—including Mites, Atoms, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget AAA—and captained his Midget AAA team in both his first and second years. He holds the Bantam House League record for most combined goals, assists, and points with an impressive 273 total.
Colin has participated in tryouts for several Junior-level teams, including the Cranbrook Colts (Junior A), Columbia Valley Rockies (Junior B), and the Fernie Ghostriders (Junior A). Throughout his playing career, he had the unique opportunity to compete alongside future NHL players during their amateur years and was awarded the Most Inspirational Player at a Bantam summer training camp, surpassing a future Tampa Bay Lightning player.
In addition to his playing career, Colin is a certified Level 2 Hockey Official and has officiated at various levels, including Midget AAA, Bantam playoffs, the Lethbridge College league, and local men's leagues. He has also contributed to international youth events such as the World Championship Peewee Jamboree in Cranbrook, BC, and recently gave back to the sport by officiating over a dozen Tim Hortons Timbits games in Lethbridge.
Colin’s leadership in the sport extends beyond the ice—he has coached both Bantam and Midget B teams in Cranbrook, served as a paid timekeeper for the Lethbridge College and men's leagues, and most recently held the role of Assistant General Manager for the Lethbridge Lightning Senior AA Men’s Hockey Team.
In addition to hockey, Colin is an avid golfer with an 8 handicap. He has competed in and placed in several horse race tournaments across courses in British Columbia and Alberta, and even achieved a 335-yard drive off the tee in Bonners Ferry, Washington. He has played at premier courses including Cranbrook Golf Club, St. Eugene, Kimberley, and Vancouver, as well as various courses in the United States.
Colin brings his lifelong passion for hockey and golf to his role as a Sports Management Worldwide (SMWW) Agent. His deep experience as a player, coach, official, and manager uniquely positions him to support and represent athletes with integrity, insight, and a commitment to their development.
