Candace Bailey

Ocean Springs, Mississippi, United States

Candace Bailey is originally from Moss Point, MS.  Candace, along with her family, all have very impressive records throughout many sports along the Gulf Coast.  She has been involved in her community and known for her outstanding skills and abilities in sports since a very young age.  In 7th grade, she started on the varsity softball team and played recreational softball and basketball aside from playing for the school district.  She graduated from Moss Point High School in 2002. There, she played both softball and basketball.  She received letterman’s in both sports, and won two South State Softball Championships.  She was also chosen to represent Moss Point in the first South vs. North All Star Fast Pitch game her senior year.   Candace continued her softball career at Bishop State Community College with a full softball scholarship and she was also named MVP in the final championship game. After her years at Bishop, she decided to choose motherhood over her softball career.  During this time, she began to play for several successful local women’s traveling softball teams to maintain her skills.  In 2010, she decided to give back to the community and start her own softball league in her hometown.  She was the commissioner from 2010 to 2015.  During that time, she also coached a fast pitch traveling softball team until deciding to go back to school for athlete management.

Candace is a firm believer that with God, ANYTHING is possible!
