Brian E. Lowe, or “B. Lowe” as he is well known in the industry, is the Founder and Principal of TeamUp Sports Consulting, which specializes in combining comprehensive and strategic planning along with innovative business solutions to the sports marketplace. Brian most recently acquired his Athlete Management certification as a sport agent advisor with Sports Management Worldwide mentored by NFL Agent, Dr. Lynn Lashbrook & NBA Agent Joel Corry. His training included: agent regulations & player association legalities, contract negotiation, endorsements, sponsorship, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, draft preparation, marketing and recruiting. A native of Monroe, Louisiana, Brian holds a Bachelor’s and Masters’ degree in Sport Administration from Grambling State University, and was a four-year letterman for the Tiger Football team under legendary coach Eddie Robinson, Sr. and played an active role in winning Coach Robinson’s illustrious 400th career milestone victory. On and off the playing field; Brian served as a leader to the team and was involved in severalcommunity projects and services. Among the many organizations and boards he sits on, he is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and for the past 17 years has served as a mentor to several youths in Louisiana, teaching the game of life through sports and leisure involvement. Brian's professional senior leader work experience has been in business development and community affairs, media relations, marketing, sales, fundraising and promotions. Some of the professional teams and organizations that he has worked with are the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), Amateur Athletic Union Headquarters (AAU), NFL Super Bowl Host Committee, Game Face Sport Marketing & Sales Inc., Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals (MLB), and Memphis Grizzlies (NBA), and Oklahoma City Energy FC (USL/MLS). Brian’s impact in the sport marketplace has been quite tangible, in terms of his department leadership, strategic planning, and networking ability. He is known as a developer of people, a fan base builder, and a marketing practitioner when it comes to identifying company revenue streams. Brian’s most recent recognition was for his leadership effort was with the Memphis Grizzlies, ranking the team top 5 in the NBA in terms of sales, marketing, and client retention. His department was noted among the NBA for posting the second highest (11% increase) home game attendance (trailing the Miami Heat organization) among 29 other franchises in the NBA during the 2011-12 season. His department success didn’t just stop there. Brian led his department to posting franchise and league high records in total sales revenue, while increasing the Grizzlies season ticket base by 40% which earned his department the 2012 NBA Sales Award. Prior to this league recognition award, other milestone marks in his career has been the opening and sell of two MLB ballparks (PNC Park of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Nationals Park of the Washington Nationals), an executive select member to the 2006 MLB All-Star Game Planning Committee, and the development and sponsorship sell of Highmark Legacy Square at PNC Park (a new permanent interactive exhibit honoring and preserving the rich history of the Negro Leagues and the great players from the Homestead Grays and Pittsburgh Crawfords). In additional to his front office success, Brian remains committed to community, serving as a role model and mentor to many youths and young adults. Though his career has drifted him far away from his home in Monroe Louisiana, he makes it a priority in giving back his time and resources to local communities and of course to his alma mater, Grambling State University. To highlight his most recent civic activities, he was the keynote speaker at the ITT Tech 2012 fall semester graduation ceremony, honoree at the 2013 GSU Monroe/Ouachita Alumni Chapter’s Evening with Grambling State University Athletics, founder of the annual Sport Leadership Summit as well as the Eddie G. Robinson High School Jamboree Classic held annually on the campus of Grambling State University. Brian strongly believes that networking and relationship building is the key to progressive movement and business development. The old cliché is "It's not what you know but who youknow” is not exactly Brian’s way of thought. He redefines cliché as “It’s not what you know or who you know, but who knows you” that determines the power of net worth and progressivebusiness development. Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the National Association of College Athletic Directors (NACDA), National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD), Minority Opportunity Athletic Association (MOAA) and the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A).
