Alija Turkovic

Nashville, Tennessee, United States

Alija Turkovic is a former college soccer player who enjoys all aspects of the beautiful game: watching, playing, and coaching. He was born in Bosnia, a small European country where, like many other nations, soccer is considered the national sport. It was in Bosnia where he first learned to play and love the beautiful game.

When he was twelve years old, his family moved to the USA, Nashville Tennessee where he has been a resident ever since. During his early and middle childhood, Alija played with various youth teams. During his teen years, he played at the high school level. He then went on to play at the collegiate level for Trevecca Nazarene University.

After graduating from TNU, Alija began to shift his focus to coaching soccer. He holds a Coaching D License and has extensive experience with coaching boys and girls ages U-9 to U-13. He has been coaching soccer for six years now. His goal is to inspire and motivate the younger generation, to provide a safe, fun, interesting, and challenging environment in which players can thrive and develop great potential. It is his firm conviction that players who enjoy their experience and who are offered a supportive environment will have a greater chance of reaching their highest potential; and more importantly, they will go on loving the beautiful game.

Alija’s love and passion for the game enabled him to embark on the journey of playing and coaching, and it is that very same love which has now inspired him to pursue a career in being a Soccer Agent. He aspires to become a successful agent in the community, region, and nation. He wishes to help young talent navigate the world of soccer to reach their highest potential; to help them reach their dream of playing at the professional level.

Alija currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his family. He's married and feels blessed to be the father of a wonderful son. He works at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In his free time, he enjoys having family cookouts, going to parks, riding bikes, and reading. His favorite team is Bayern Munich.
