The USFL's first-ever Most Valuable Player went to Wide Reciever KaVontae Turpin, of the New Jersey Generals.

Turpin has made a name for himself in the USFL's first season, boasting a league-high 540 receiving yards, 44 receptions, and 4 touchdowns. Plus, he took one to the house of a punt return too.

After dominating the USFL league, the NFL has taken notice. Most recently, Turpin was invited to a tryout with the Dallas Cowboys ahead of their camp at the end of July. Additionally, Turpin has been on a number of watchlists for other NFL teams who are in need of a speedy receiver.

After a highly successful NFL Preseason, boasting 2 touchdowns via a Punt Return and Kickoff Return, KaVontae has made the 53-man Roster for the Cowboys. Turpin will wear #9, last worn by franchise Quarterback, Tony Romo.
