Tough, strong, physical TE who's a big target and a great blocker. His athleticism, height and large, soft hands make him an effective target anywhere on the field. He's a smart player with great vision. His large size, strength and good use of hands allow him to burst through the initial jam when coming off the line of scrimmage. His hands are soft, reliable, and can pick the ball out of the air and secure it quickly. He has good body control and his athleticism allows him to extend his vast wingspan outside of his frame. He tracks the ball over either shoulder well and has great concentration to make any catch with defenders on him. His size and strength make him a dominant blocker. He's an experienced special team player on punt return and block teams and field goal block team.

At Virginia Tech, Prince provided depth at tight end. He also played a role on special teams where he saw some time on the punt return/block unit.

2010: Saw his first action of the season at BC … Got five snaps at tight end at NC State … Also got brief action at TE in the CMU game … Caught his first pass against Duke for a 4-yard gain.

2009: Switched from split end to tight end to start preseason workouts … Played three snaps at tight end against Marshall … Also got three plays on offense in the Boston College game … Played briefly on special teams at Georgia Tech … Had three plays on the punt block team against UNC and three more at ECU … Worked three plays at tight end during the NC State game … Was in for three plays on offense during the win at Virginia … Saw some duty during the Chick-fil-A Bowl game against Tennessee … Improved in all four major lifts during off-season workouts.

2008: Saw action in nine games … His 26 special team plays came on the punt return/block team … Picked up two snaps at receiver against Furman … Worked five plays on special teams at UNC and two at Nebraska … Was in on five special team plays in the WKU game … Picked up two more at BC … Had seven plays on special teams against FSU and four in the Maryland game … Improved in all four major lifts as well as the vertical jump and 40 during the off-season program … Hauled in a 30-yard pass during one spring scrimmage … Had an 8-yard grab in the Maroon-White game.

2007: Saw his only action in the William & Mary game … Practiced at split end … Caught two passes for 23 yards during the Hokies’ final spring scrimmage … Had a 6-yard grab in the Maroon-White game … Also blocked a punt during that game.

2006: Joined the team as a walk-on … Worked at split end while redshirting … Showed some improvement during off-season workouts.
