Born in Chesapeake, VA, Nathaniel Copeland Jr. has always had the drive and passion to play football. At the age of 8 he was approached by coaches because of his height to be in the starting line up of the Pee Wee league in Dumfries, VA. His enthusiasm for football grew while attending Benjamin Tasker Middle School in Bowie, Maryland and Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, VA playing the position of tight end. High school is where he honed his skills set as a tight end and realized his potential as a defensive back, tight end, and any other positions his coaches put him in because of his size. At Charles Herbert Flowers High School in Springdale, Maryland he excelled. Nathaniel enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Currently, Nathaniel plays for the Maryland Blackhawks, a Semi-Pro Arena football team, under the tutelage of Coach Pratt. According to Coach Pratt, "Nathaniel Copeland is an outstanding, versatile player in that he can play tight end, defensive back, and line backer. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate him a 9.5 because he is easily coached, his willingness to play hard, and his passion for the game."
