After playing through pain during his shortened but still productive junior season, Haynes was finally diagnosed with multiple hernias in the offseason before his senior year (2009-10). Recovery from surgery limited his effectiveness for his senior season. He is now completely healthy and ready to play. (2008) Opened the season with a pair of interceptions against Rutgers. Led team in interceptions (2) and had 25 tackles in only 6 games; one for a loss with two pass deflections; had season highs of six tackles against Wisconsin and UCLA; missed the final five games due to undiagnosed leg injuries. (2007) Third on the team with 65 total tackles; played in all 12 games and forced a fumble. Season high eight tackles at New Mexico State and in bowl win over Georgia Tech; five tackles, an interception and two break-ups against Kansas State. (2006) Appeared in 10 games and started the final four at free safety as a redshirt freshman; key special teams player; logged 16 tackles and a sack. Finished the year with a season high five tackles against San Jose State.
