Enters his senior season looking to regain his time on the field...Boasts a .307 career batting average, with 117 hits in 119 games played...Has 18 doubles, four triples, two home runs and 45 RBI in his career...Looks to continue his strong performance at the plate this season and to be an important part of the A&T starting lineup...Named to the MEAC All-Academic Baseball team three straight years starting in 2010...Has also been on the Dean's List since arriving at A&T.

2012 Season: Started in seven of his 16 games in 2012 as a junior...Batted .167 (6-for-36) with three doubles, a triple and three RBI...Had two walks and 15 strikeouts...Went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI on April 21 at Longwood...Posted a season-long three-game hitting streak from April 15-May 12...

2011 Season: Played in 52 games with 50 starts...Finished the year with a .304 average, 10 doubles, three triples, 23 RBI and 24 runs...Sole three bases, walked 14 times and struck out 54 times... Led off the inning 36 times during the season and earned hit in 17 of those plate appearances...Hit .318 with runners in scoring position, hit .296 with two outs in the inning and registered 15 two-out RBI...Had a season-high three hits on Feb. 27 at Campbell and on May 15 against Savannah State...Scored a season-high three runs on March 13 at N.C. Central...Stole a season-high two bases on March 16 against High Point...Posted a season-long six-game hitting streak from Feb. 19 to Feb. 27.

2010 Season:  Played in 51 games with 50 starts...Batted .339 with five doubles, two home runs, 19 RBI and 36 runs scored...Stole 12 bases, walked 15 times and struck out 36 times ...In 42 plate appearances, he hit .357 against lefties...Hit .322 with runners on and .315 with runners in scoring position...Had a season-high four RBI and went 3-for-4 on Feb. 26 against New Jersey Institute of Technology...Had three hits on five different occasions...Went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored on March 2 against Appalachian State...Went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI on April 19 against USC Upstate...Posted a season-long 11-game hitting streak from April 17-May 1.

High School: Played two years of varsity baseball and attended Rockingham County High School, Bartlett-Yancey High School, Veritas Sports Academy and Morehead High School...Was All-Triad 3-A in 2009...Named an All-State honorable mention in 2009...Graduated from Morehead High School with a 4.7 grade point average.

Personal: Full name is Mark Clifton Nales II...He is the son of Mark and Tammy Nales... Was born on Oct. 7, 1991...Majors in criminal justice...His other interests include hunting, fishing, and street bikes...Spent the 2012 summer working on a farm...Always dreamed of competing with the Aggies baseball team...Says the best part of being an A&T student-athlete is that all of the athletes are like a family.
