Julie
Galipeau

Athlete Bio

Signed with BBC Grengewald Hostert in Luxemburg.

Galipeau leaves an indelible mark on the Saint Marys program. The Queen Elizabeth grad was the metro league MVP in her final year with the Lions, and was selected as the top rookie in the country for the 1999-2000 Jill Jeffrey Husky Team. Her 10.9 rebounds per game was second-best in the nation that year.

The six-foot forward nabbed Atlantic conference MVP honors the following year and is a two-time all-Canadian. She consistently drew double and triple teams, but still averaged 16.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals over her career.

Galipeau, who started all 138 games for the maroon and white, is the only player to win the SMU team MVP award five times. She was also team captain for the final three years and chosen as the female athlete of the year for the university.
