 Jamie Fehoko is a tremendous player that brings power, tenacity, and a great aggressiveness. Jamie is a two year starter for UTEP at the defensive tackle position that is quick off of the ball and fulfills his responsibilities. His overall athleticism is terrific for a 6’2 300lb man. He has explosiveness, a good change of direction, and a motor that does not quit. He has graded out highly after every game this season and his position coach, Andre Patterson, considers Jamie a NFL prospect. Coach Patterson has coached for 6 NFL teams and coached many tremendous players including NFL Hall of Famer John Randle. Jamie’s technique is the key to his success and Coach Patterson took note of this. His post game grades were always in the high nineties and his technique and opponent knowledge were the main factors. Jamie understands how important it is to be a student of the game and he takes great pride in his film study and knowing his opponents. Coach Patterson also calls Jamie a "tough physical player that can play NT or the 3 technique in a 4-3." Many scouts have seen Jamie as being on the cusp and is NFL caliber.The consistent study and looking for keys to defeat his opponents lent to his consistency. This film study also includes in analyzing himself and always looking for ways to improve his level of play and to get better every day. Jamie is a man that takes responsibility and is a leader off of the field. Jamie took in his younger brother that was having problems. He has been a consistent example and a guide for his 15yr old brother. Since he has been with Jamie his brother has raised his grades and is playing football. Jamie is also the father of a 3yr old son and has a fiancée.
