Overview:

A four-year starter for the McNeese State defense, Darrell was the quarterback of the secondary. He exhibits good range, sound tackling and has legitimate 4.4 speed. He showed good coverage skills, as well as the ability to come up strong in run support. He finished his career as a three-time All-SLC selection and one of the most accomplished defenders in school history.

2011:

Second leading tackler on the team with 58 stops. Led all McNeese defenders with 4 interceptions and 14 pass deflections, which was tied for fifth in the conference. Also posted 4.5 tackles for loss.

2010:

Again led the McNeese defense along with fellow safety Malcolm Bronson. Posted a team-high 68 tackles, including four for loss and one sack. Also led the team with 10 pass break ups.

2009:

Second team all-SLC...fourth on team with 75 tackles...season high 11 tackles vs Henderson State...seven tackles vs SE Louisiana and Nicholls State

2008:

Seventh on team in tackles with 40...six stops behind the line...intercepted a pass and returned it 70 yards for td against Delta State...season high 10 tackles vs SFA...seven tackles vs Delta State, five vs South Dakota State.
