Athlete Scouting Report:
Brandon Sparrow comes from a program where accountability is everything. Sparrow is a hard worker on and off the field. He is much more of a leader who leads by example who is very vocal. He loves working with the community. Sparrow is a very athletic guy for someone who is 300 pounds. His skills are being a great run defender with huge motor. He controls the line of scrimmage very well with great pad level and he is very effective in the pass rush all. Sparrow was invited and participated in the 2014 NFL Draft Regional Combine in Indianapolis and soon was invited back to participate in the 2014 NFL Draft in the Super Regional Combine in Detroit. Later, he was invited and attended the Chicago Bears 2014 Rookie Mini Camp.

Brandon Sparrow’s Career at Marshall

Senior season (2013):
Started 9 out of 14 games and did not play in two due to injury. For the Herd. He racked up 40 tackles(19 solo and 21 assistant)

Five tackles for loss and one and a half sacks.

JUNIOR SEASON (2012):

Started in every game for the Herd...Accumulated 52 tackles (16 solo, 36 assisted) including nine tackles for losses...Recorded five sacks for a loss of 31 yards.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2011):

Backup on the defensive line, but did see action in all 13 games...Posted 22 tackles (seven solo, 15 assists) with two tackles for loss, a sack and a fumble recovery...Made seven stops against Virginia Tech...Had the sack at Louisville and the fumble recovery in the monsoon at UCF.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2010):

Made 12 tackles (five solo, seven assists) and 1.5 tackles for loss in 10 appearances...Had four tackles against UTEP.

Prior to Marshall:

A 2009 first-team all-region selection for head coach Chris Watts at Liberty...Recorded 71 tackles, 11 for a loss, and five sacks in 2009 en route to first-team all-district and region honors...Earned second-team all-region honors in 2008...Recorded 151 tackles, 16 sacks and 22 tackles for loss in his high school career...Chose Marshall over Ohio and Liberty.
