2010 (r-Sr.): Entering the 2010 season the Golden Eagles' offensive line was among one the least experienced in the country. Southern Miss. relied heavily on Alex's previous 3 years of experience up front as he soldified his starting position and leadership on the offensive line as a senior. Alex earned the opportunity to start at right guard, having played in 27 games over his first three seasons. Helping to lead and guide one of the least experienced lines in 2010, Alex was a leader in elevating the offense to 18th best in the country in all of D-1 football. They ranked 19th in the country rushing for an awesome 200.8 yds per game and 35th in the country passing for a very consistent 252.5 yds p/game. There is no doubt that Alex's athleticism, intelligence, and leadership all played a decisive factor in the Golden Eagles' improvement and impressive overall performance.
