Tough, physical, high-motor LB capable of playing all LB positions in the 4-3 and ILB in a 3-4. Able to read keys from all LB positions against any formation. Experience in Eagle front with capability to play on or off LOS. Playmaker at the goal line with natural power to stonewall fullbacks in the hole and hold ground against interior offensive linemen. Solid tackler with snap to his game who routinely gets the ballcarrier to the ground. Aaron is a high character player with his best football ahead of him. Averaged 6+ tackles per game over Virginia’s last 6 games in 2011. Experienced Special Teams player on Kickoff and Punt teams.
2011 – Appeared in all 13 of Virginia’s games, starting 9 games and earned his second letter. Transitioned to SLB in 2011 from MLB. Totaled 50 tackles, 30 solo. Made 38 tackles in final six games. Had 9 tackles, 8 solo, in Chick-fil-A Bowl against Auburn. Key stops on the goal line helped preserve wins against Maryland and Florida State.
2010 - Appeared in all 12 of Virginia's games, starting the first six games. Earned his first letter. Named the defensive Most Improved player by Head Coach Mike London in fall camp. Made first career start against Richmond. Had a career-high seven tackles at Georgia Tech. 36 tackles on the season, notched 2.0 tackles for a loss and a forced a fumble at Georgia Tech. Made six stops at USC. Made four tackles against Eastern Michigan.
2009 - Appeared in two games on the season ... appeared on five defensive plays against William & Mary and one special teams play against TCU. 2008-Only playing time came in final game at Virginia Tech ... did not record any tackles. 2007-Redshirted.
