My name is Stan Gay.  I currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. In high school, I was a four sport athlete but my best sport was football. I am a graduate of the University of Alabama, where I played football four years earning 3 letters as a defensive back. An interesting aspect of my college career is that I “walked on” to the University of Alabama‘s football team the year after they won the national championship two years in a row. As a walk-on, I earned a scholarship from legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant my second year, by being committed, determined and persistence. I eventually became a two year starting cornerback in the same defensive backfield with two other 2 time All-Americans.

I also had an opportunity to play professionally with the Atlanta Falcons. I was signed as a “free agent” with the Falcons. And although I did not receive much playing time with the Falcons the experience of going through the process of competing for a spot on a professional football team roster for two seasons was a rewarding and invaluable experience. 

What does this all mean to you....my potential client? It shows that I am no stranger to hard work, commitment, dedication, persistence and patience when it comes to going after a dream. I will bring all of these intangibles with me in  managing your professional sports career.

I have a BS degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama and a MBA in Global Management. For the last 20 plus years, I’ve worked for three fortune 100 companies in the healthcare industry. Serving in roles ranging from Sales Manager, National Account Manager, Corporate Sales Trainer and Sales Rep. The skills I have acquired over the years such as leading and moving people to action; negotiating multi-million dollar corporate partnership agreements with medical organizations, and building mutual benifical business relationships, have transferred nicely into the sports management industry.

I'm immensely fascinated by the business of sports. I've always felt that my true calling in life was to become an attorney and assist pro athletes via "professional representation" and help them develop their life skills for long term personal success. As a former college and pro athlete, that has succeeded in corporate America, I represent a diverse and unique life perspective that any young athlete would benefit from.
