Michael Ojapah

Michael Ojapah had a short career spell competing as amateur basketball player in the UK which was due to a severe injury, as a result his dream of pursuing a professional career was cut short. He then graduated with a B.A. Hons in degree in Sports and Business and then a Masters Degree in Sports Law while attending Nottingham Law School.

Michael’s passion is to help manage professional athlete’s careers by giving each client direction, clarity and information so that they are able to make the best possible informed decision on their careers choices. Since graduating he has devoted himself gaining experience in Sports Management. He now has a wealth of dynamic experience within sports marketing, sponsorship and negotiation from both the public and commercial sector of sports. He worked for Speedo the multi-national swimwear brand, as a Marketing Executive. He supported Speedo’s 2012 commercial plan and marketing strategy, to help change brand perception and profile the brand from a sponsorship perspective.

At the moment Michael specialises in providing a bespoke player management service for professional football players in the U.K. that encompasses all their needs. Some of the services include securing and matching a player with the right club, providing referrals to the best sports injury clinics and professional trainers in times of player rehabilitation. His legal studies also enable him provide a player with relevant legal and contractual advice before contract negotiation so that he and his client’s are well prepared to negotiate an excellent contract.

His ethos is simple, to always be honest, professional and operate with integrity as he believes that these values provide a solid foundation for a long lasting relationship between a player, family and agent.
