Brett Hickman

Brett received a B.S. of Sport Marketing & Management from Indiana University. Upon his graduation from IU, Brett was invited to intern at the SMWW agency in Portland, OR under NFL Contract Advisors Dr. Lynn Lashbrook and Marcus Williams. After completing over 300 internship hours in the SMWW office, Brett moved back to Indianapolis, where he began working on his M.A. in Sports Leadership at Concordia University. He will receive his M.A. in May ’11, and then will begin further preparation to take the NFL Contract Advisor certification exam during its next offering.

Brett strives to educate clients of how the business works and what to expect and understand with the off-the-field activities of being a professional athlete. Currently, Brett works out of Indianapolis, but fosters a close relationship with the SMWW office in Portland. He is very active in the continued development of the careers of current clients through various social media networking (i.e. Twitter and Facebook) and marketing ideas, while continuing to think of innovative to further the careers of all current and prospective clients.
